Accounting Knowledge Expert

About the role

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our product team as an Accounting Knowledge Expert. In this role, you'll bring deep domain expertise from the world of SME accounting to help shape, evaluate, and improve the communication quality of our AI-generated outputs.

You’ll review automatically drafted replies to real client emails, provide structured feedback, and help define what “great” looks like in the context of accounting firm communication. You’ll also play a key role in building and maintaining Ravical’s internal knowledge base — from curated templates and standard references to nuanced guidelines for tone and completeness.

This is not a back-office annotation role. You’ll be a core contributor to how our product supports real advisors — working directly with the founding team, AI engineers, and product leadership. It’s a unique opportunity for an experienced practitioner to help reinvent how accounting professionals work, starting from the inside.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate draft email replies for completeness, clarity, tone, and domain correctness — across a wide range of SME accounting topics.

  • Curate and contribute to Ravical’s internal knowledge base, including reusable templates, tool-specific references, common client scenarios, and firm-specific preferences.

  • Help define escalation and confidence heuristics, identifying when output is fit for direct use vs when advisor review is needed.

  • Collaborate with the AI and product team to test and improve new system behaviors, prompt strategies, and quality signals.

  • Document edge cases and ambiguities in advisory workflows, helping the team continuously expand coverage and improve robustness.

  • Serve as the internal voice of the advisor, helping the team understand how accountants think, prioritize, and communicate.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience at an SME-focused accountancy firm in a client-facing role (e.g. dossierbeheerder, junior partner, tax advisor).

  • Proven experience communicating with clients via email or ticketing systems — with strong judgment on tone, accuracy, and client expectations.

  • Solid understanding of Belgian/Dutch accounting workflows, fiscal calendars, and digital tools (e.g. Silverfin, Yuki, Exact Online).

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, product-driven team with engineers and founders.

  • A curiosity for technology, and a desire to help shape how accounting advice is delivered in the future.

  • Bonus: experience creating templates, SOPs, or internal documentation at your firm.
